Treasurer Steve McGhee's roots run deep in Gallia County. Steve has lived in Gallia County his entire life. First elected to the position of Gallia County Treasurer in 2000, he has served us with integrity. Steve was appointed by his peers to serve as the past President of the County Treasurers Association of Ohio and once earned the CTAO Treasurer of the Year Award. 

Steve has run the office as a conservative, and will continue to do so. He has never had to go to the Commissioners for more funding, has excellent staff retention. Through smart investments and fiscally conservative policies, Treasurer McGhee returned approximately $1,000,000 to the county's General Fund last year. 

Steve and his wife Karen raised their three children, Amanda, Jessica and Allison, here in Gallia County. All three of them graduated from Gallia Academy High School.
